Muriel Barnier is the SPE CEDEP Safety Leadership Program Director and founder of Lime Core, a company dedicated to training and communications in HSE, Leadership and Employee Engagement.  

She has 13 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. She started in the Corporate Social Responsibility Department where she developed the global award-winning program HSE for Youth which still today reaches 4,000+ children in 50+ countries every year.

After winning the first IOGP Outstanding Young Professional Award in 2016, she became the global head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Training & Communications at Schlumberger and manager of Schlumberger SAFE, the umbrella strategy to drive the company to a step change in safety. The outstanding results achieved with this strategy were recognized by the CEO Award in 2019.

Muriel combines program designing, consulting, coaching and teaching in HSE and Leadership. Her clients are mainly in heavy industries such as oil & gas and mining. She is recognized for her ability to challenge the status quo and think outside of the box.

In her spare time, she has been coordinating community development projects in West Africa since she was 21.

Muriel holds two master’s degrees with the highest honors, in Education Science and Corporate Social Responsibility.
